How does a condensing boiler work?

The condensing boiler recovers the heat contained in the exhaust flue gases, which would be lost in a traditional boiler. By condensing the water vapour, it also harnesses this energy to heat the water in the system. The result is an efficiency above 100% referred to the lower heating value, with lower gas consumption for the same amount of heat produced. These boilers are designed for both heating and the production of domestic hot water.
