Air Conditioner Delivered: Pre-Installation Checklist

Cosa fare quando arriva il condizionatore: la checklist prima del montaggio

The delivery driver is at your door. Before you sign anything or call the installer, take five minutes: check the packaging for damage, confirm everything is in the box, and match the model number to your order. These quick checks can save you a real headache on installation day.

Check the Outer Packaging

  • Note any visible damage: Look over the box carefully before signing. Dents, tears, or impact marks? Write "subject to inspection" on the delivery note before you sign it.

This is the most important step. Without a written note, proving transport damage later becomes very difficult.

Verify the Contents

  • Check everything is there: Open the packaging and confirm that the indoor unit, outdoor unit, mounting brackets, remote control, and all accessories are included.

Reporting a missing part now is far easier than discovering it halfway through the installation.

Match the Model to Your Order

  • Confirm the right model: Compare the label on the box with your order confirmation. Single-split, dual-split, or multi-split? Are the BTU figures correct?

A wrong model will surface during installation. Better to catch it now.

Inspect the Units for Damage

  • Visual check of both units: Look for dents, bent fins, or damage to pipes and connections on both the indoor and outdoor unit.

Damage to copper pipes or the outdoor unit can complicate installation and may void the warranty.

Keep the Packaging and Documents

Hold onto the boxes, protective materials, and all paperwork until the unit is installed and running. If a warranty claim comes up, the original packaging will matter.

Document Any Damage Right Away

If you find damage, photograph it and contact customer service straight away. With ClimaConvenienza, you get a full refund if something is wrong at delivery.

Only schedule the installation date with your technician once you have confirmed the product arrived in good condition. A well-planned installation starts with the unboxing.
